Rosarito.- El próximo sábado 23 de marzo se realizará por primera vez el evento denominado “Lunada Vaquera” donde más de 400 bailarines de música folclórica se reunirán en la explanada del Centro Estatal de las Artes (Ceart) de Playas de Rosarito, para realizar un baile masivo del tradicional Calabaceado, acompañados del exitoso conjunto musical Polka Cero.
José Luis Madera, quien dirige el ballet folclórico Yolihuani y uno de los coordinadores del evento Lunada Vaquera, explicó a Infonort que en el baile masivo participan 24 grupos de los 5 municipios de Baja California.
Aclaró que no se pretende realizar algún Record Guinness, sino que la comunidad conozca y aprecie este espectáculo folclórico, para poner en alto el valor artístico de cultural del estado y que se reconozca como un patrimonio intangible de los Bajacalifornianos.
Recordó que para poder realizar este baile masivo de calabaceado, se realizaron ensayos previos en cada municipio con los bailarines participantes para poder enseñarles la secuencia de la canción y para todos es un reto, que está seguro van a lograrlo.
Madera abundó que la Lunada Vaquera dará inicio a las 4 de la tarde del próximo sábado 23 de marzo, en la explanada del Ceart Rosarito, el evento es completamente gratuito y familiar, y posterior al baile masivo, se dará inicio al festival de danza donde los grupos participantes podrán mostrar sus dotes artísticas durante 6 minutos cada uno, para el deleite de los asistentes.

Rosarito.- Next Saturday, March 23, the event called “Lunada Vaquera” will be held for the first time, where more than 400 folk dancers will gather at the open forum of the State Arts Center (Ceart) of Playas de Rosarito, to perform a massive dance of the traditional Calabaceado, accompanied by the successful musical group Polka Cero.
José Luis Madera, who directs the folkloric ballet Yolihuani and one of the coordinators of the Lunada Vaquera event, explained to Infonort that 24 groups from the 5 municipalities of Baja California participate in the massive dance.
He clarified that it is not intended to make a Guinness Record, but that the community knows and appreciates this folkloric spectacle, to highlight the artistic value of the state’s culture and to be recognized as an intangible heritage of the Baja Californians.
He recalled that in order to perform this massive gourd dance, previous tests were conducted in each municipality with the participating dancers to teach them the sequence of the song and for all it is a challenge, which he is sure will achieve it.
Wood said that the Lunada Vaquera will start at 4 pm on Saturday, March 23, at the open forum of Ceart Rosarito, the event is completely free and family, and after the massive dance, will start the dance festival where the participating groups can show their artistic skills for 6 minutes each, to the delight of the attendees.
